What do the numbers mean (ex. 1.2)?
This is an abbreviated method of displaying the number and genders of the individuals in a group of snakes. The first number represents the number of males, and the second denotes the number of females. In this example, there are one male and two females. If there are three numbers (ex. 1.3.2) the third represents the number of animals of unknown gender.
